The CARD mares are small but mighty!!

This lovely lady did extensive showing and trail riding with her previous owner which makes her great for riders starting into horsemanship, or riders in need of a steady and smooth pace. Her height (or lack of) means she is short enough to work well for riders who require a more involved hold while her broad back and smooth movement will be ideal for riders with balance challenges.

Used to being fussed over, Jesse is a go-to for off horse and grooming activities. Her previous experience in lead line classes meant that Jesse could almost teach us how to do the leading method and she has been one of the fastest of the ‘new’ CARD horses in learning how to do a slow walk or rolling halt.

Jesse is the kind of horse who makes a rider feel like they could do anything. There are many of the same traits our beloved Ruffian had in this new and colourful girl. If you’re lucky you may catch her review of flag training when she works with 2 at a time moving like a kayak paddle or a helicopter rotor high overhead!
