Blond chestnut Haflinger mare born in 1997. She stands 13.2hh.
Donated By Charlotte De Waard and Terry Michelsson. Sponsored in honour of Rachel Jacobs
This little lady did extensive hunter/jumper showing and parades with her previous owner which makes her great for riders starting into horsemanship, or riders in need of quick active movement. Her height (or lack of) means she is short enough to work well for riders who require a more involved hold.
A favourite of visitors to her former barn, Maggie is used to being fussed over, and is often part of CARD’s off horse and grooming activities. A quick learner with an independent streak, Maggie knows how to turn situations to her advantage, so the CARD instructors always make sure she has a firm but kind leader who will maintain clear boundaries for her.
In the paddock, Maggie proves your size has nothing to do with your position in the herd hierarchy. Her small stature and incredible maneuverability make her a tough target for the other horses when she’s out to ‘lay down the law’. In those moments, she’s a mare on a mission and happily frustrates the other horses with her ninja-like moves.
Our blond bullet has attitude to spare, but she’s also got a heart as golden as her coat and we love her feisty approach to life!
